Yahoo Mail renovated the Mobile Web experience and launches Android Go
Yahoo has launched two new initiatives with the aim of improving the usability of Mail on Mobile devices. It has recreated a dashboard for smartphone web browsers and has a new app that is optimized specifically for phones named Android Go. It is a variant of Google’s Operating System that is optimized for low-end devices. Let’s move ahead with a few new things that Yahoo Mail renovated the Mobile Web experience and launches Android Go.
Yahoo on Mobile Browsers doesn’t reload actions like deleting messages and deleting the trash. It also has featured just like Yahoo App including the option to select the best between dark and light backgrounds. With an unlimited scrolling inbox, there is also a redesigned sidebar menu that allows access to folders quickly. There is a new and easy-access toolbar that comes with shortcuts to delete, forward messages, and reply to, and auto-suggest feature as well in the email composition screen.
What are the new changes?
Yahoo mail team has brought the Mobile web app by keeping the trend with experience of desktop Mail by updating the JavaScript code and Frameworks. It was created on Redux and React and designed by using AJAX and Node.js. The best thing is that it has an update mechanism that provides the most recent code base whenever the new inbox launches.
The aim was to make Yahoo “Virtually Indistinguishable” on the Mobile browser from the app. Android users can even and an application, like a shortcut to the home screen of the phone which links to the Yahoo mail on the web directly.
According to Jacobson, “With the presence of an updated design, smooth transition, native-like interacted animation, and modern fonts, Yahoo Mobile browser takes the users to love about the app experience. This will bring it to the web experience.”
Yahoo Mail for Android Go
The other new product of Yahoo Mail is aimed at a different crowd. The new app- Yahoo Mail for Android Go is optimized for the devices operating Android Go.
This version of Yahoo mail is based on the same design as the standard Yahoo Mail app. It uses less amount of RAM and Storage space of 10MB. Despite the smaller footprint, it offers the same range of features as the full-blown application. “The Yahoo Mail Go app provides the same three-dot features that are enjoyed by the recent users of Android app.
The latest and enhanced Mobile browser experience shares many of the same features as the Yahoo Mail App with the additional benefit of clearing up space. It includes-
