If someone is using a desktop to access Yahoo News through the Google Chrome web browser then, you can follow these steps to stay prevented against such notifications from Yahoo News that appears on the desktop even if you haven’t opened the Yahoo News website

  • Open Google Chrome and click on the More option and then, click on the option to open a drop-down menu on the screen
  • From the drop-down menu that appears on the screen, you will need to click on the Settings option. You will be redirected to the Settings of the Chrome browser
  • On the Chrome browser Settings page, you will need to scroll down and click on the ‘Advanced’ option that appears at the bottom of the page

  • You will need to choose the Notifications option and it will redirect to the Notifications section to check different options available to manage notification

You will see three options that appear in the Notification screen and that are-

  • Block
  • Allow
  • Ask before sending

You will need to turn the option ‘Ask before sending’ and in the Block section, click on the Add option that appeared next to it

  • It will then open a small box that will ask to enter the URL of the website from where you have to want to receive a notification
  • Enter the Yahoo News URL in the required field on the box and click on the Add button and the URL will be added to the blocked notification list and you won’t receive any Yahoo news notification
