Send Emails Using Yahoo Email Alias

Unlike some other email services, Yahoo Mail will allow you to send and receive email from the email alias. Email alias commonly acts as a forwarding email address only, and that means that they are commonly used just to receive email.

  • At Yahoo Mail on the web, you should choose the Compose option in the top-left to create a new email message
  • Tap on the colored pencil icon that appears in the bottom right of the Yahoo Mail app

Send-Only Email Addresses

It appears under the main Email alias label in the Mailboxes section of the settings and you can create up to 10 extra email addresses for the purpose of sending messages. You can choose to Add that appears under the Send-only email addresses to add an email address. While composing or replying to a new message, you can just choose the dropdown arrow in the field ‘From’ to choose the send-only email alias.

Disposable Email Addresses

Under the Send-only email addresses, you will find Disposable email addresses in the Mailboxes section of your settings. A not usable email address is ideal to receive the third-party newsletters to control over the spam as well as privacy.

It is easy to create up to 500 disposable email addresses from the various services, and that will be delivered to the inbox and unless you put up filters to be sent to other folders. Because you will need to set up receiving emails from an un-usable email address and you can remove it easily.
