  • Log in to login.yahoo.com/account/security, scroll down to the bottom and enable the settings
  • Open Outlook and click on the File menu and click on Add Account
  • Now, choose Manual Setup or additional server types and click on Next
  • After that, choose POP or IMAP and click on Next
  • Within POP and IMAP account settings, fill Your Name and Fill Email address

For Server information and choose IMAP for Account Type and Incoming Mail server should be set to the imap.mail.yahoo.com, and Outgoing mail server should be set to smtp.mail.yahoo.com

  • Next to Login information, enter your User Name and Password and enter a check next to Remember password and then, click on the More Settings button
  • Go to the Outgoing Server tab and enable My Outgoing server needs authentication and Use the same settings as my incoming mail server
  • Go to the Advanced tab, for port settings, set Incoming server
  • IMAP to 993 with SSL encryption, and then set Outgoing server
  • SMTP to 587 with TLS encryption and click on Ok and then Next when finished
  • Click on Close if the account logs in properly and click on Finish
